Your elbow connects your upper arm and forearm. It is a hinge joint allowing just flexion and extension movements (bending your arm towards you and away from you).

In sporting activities a well-functioning elbow is essential to high performance. Injuring your elbow can have a large impact on your activities of daily living also.

The elbow can become damaged due to a direct trauma such as a fall or it can be due to an overuse injury.

What elbow conditions do we treat?

Tennis elbow describes pain on the outside of your elbow where golfers elbow describes pain on the inner side of your elbow.

What treatment options are available for elbow conditions?

Once you have been assessed by your physiotherapist, they will provide a treatment programme tailored to you. Treatment for elbow conditions is dependent upon what your condition is and what your symptoms are. There is a wide variety of treatment available for elbow conditions.
